It's official.
I’ll be the second shooter for a wedding come June.  This will be my first wedding in years. It’s February and I am already nervous.  But hey, let’s see where this goes….

Decisions
A friend of mine that has a photography business recently realized she’d booked a wedding the same weekend her husband is unavailable to be her #2 photographer - so she asked me.  She said she would throw a cut of the profits my way, allow me to use anything I shot in my portfolio and even provide a sitter for Audrey if needed (her son is 14).  But I just don’t know. It’s...

New Year - New Challenge
So keeping up with a picture a day (AND work AND a marriage AND a toddler) was a little difficult. But I love the idea of challenging myself and, hopefully, bettering my photography skills. In that line of thinking I am designing my own challenge for the entire year - a new skill each month. The goal is going to be four pictures based on a specific goal each month, in other words a picture a...

Calling fellow photographers
I’ve been looking around for a photography challenge online, but none of them please me. So I had a thought - we have a great resource within ourselves.  Help me out here Tumblr, let’s create our own photography challenge! Please tell me the following things and I will compile the list and post it. What is something that you feel confident photographing? What is something...

It’s hard to stay positive. Hard to believe that I should keep trying - that what I am doing is actually good. I take a cute picture of my daughter and it gets a bunch of comments/notes. I take a selection of pictures of the Milwaukee Art Museum that I think came out pretty good…and I barely get any feedback. Where do I draw the line between feedback and self-assurance?
